How do the 20K & 5K races work?

Running is at the heart of the Rise ‘n Shine Running Festival. On Saturday there are two different running events timed by Precision Race.

In the morning there will be a 20K race which consists of 4 laps of our 5K course. The course consists of unpaved paths, trails, and grassy fields contained completely within the Shakori Hills property. There is some single-track, but it is not a highly technical course.

You can register to run solo or as a relay team of 2 to 4 . Each runner will receive a race bib with a unique number and a timing chip attached to the back of the bib. In addition, relay teams will receive a numbered baton which is to be carried by whichever team member is running a given lap. The relay exchange zone is located near the start/lap/finish timing point.

Live results: Solo runner and relay teams may get their race results in several ways: Visit the green Precision Race “Results” tent where you can get your personal results printout at our touch-screen results kiosks. Solo and team results are also live online HERE and in the ItsYourRace mobile app.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
